KEPR-TV is the longest running television station in the Columbia Basin broadcasting for nearly 60 years. Located in the Tri-Cities, the station covers the major population base of Southeastern Washington and Umatilla County, Oregon. Since 2000, the Tri-Cities has been named the fastest growing metro in Washington State. The region’s economy is anchored in government contractors, agriculture, bio and high-technology and manufacturing. KEPR has had a long affiliation with CBS and in 2009 added CW to its broadcast operations.
The station also is the home of KUNW, a full-powered local Univision affiliate. KEPR Action News has grown its brand of “Taking Action for You” making it the fastest growing newscast in the market. In 2010, the KEPR news team has been recognized most recently with the most Society of Professional Journalists awards in the market. In addition, KEPR had the only Emmy nomination from the market and it was in the “Best Newscast” category.
